Assessment Regulations

It is mandatory to participate in all of the modules in the diploma program. Failure to participate in any module will be grounds for dismissal from the program.

The assessment of each DRME will be based on the following activities:

  • Exercises
  • Assignments
  • Discussion Forums
  • Scientific Article Submission

The assessment grading will be held as follows:

  • Exercises: 30%
  • Assignments: 40%
  • Discussion forums: 15%
  • Scientific article: 15% (at the end of the diploma)

It is mandatory to have a cumulative passing grade in all the 4 domains mentioned above, the pass mark being 60% according to the Graduate College.

The diploma program has 8 modules. Some of these modules are core modules. It is mandatory that you score a 60% pass mark in the core modules. These modules are:

  1. Study designs and Systematic Review
  2. Biostatistics in Research
  3. Introduction to research ethics
  4. Responsible Conduct of Research
  5. Ethical review committees, processes and procedures

Submission of a Scientific Review Article

Failure to pass any one of the core modules and to obtain a cumulative grade of 60% in the entire 5 core modules will result is dismissal from the program.
